If it’s a seldom use the family could probably get by with a tent that is somewhat cheaper. If it going to be used each weekend, one should really consider spending a little more money for a stronger tent.
No matter what type of tent ends up being bought in the end. Whether it is a 2 man tent or a 4 man tent make sure it is going to be plenty big enough for everyone. Nothing is worse than trying to lie down to sleep and having the other person invading your space.
