For the longest time, Nike has held a firm grip on the number one spot for sports apparel companies. They started out as a niche company that broke in with outer wear apparel. However, these days they are the fastest growing sports apparel company in the world. While they were founded in Maryland about 15 years ago, there is no telling how high they will rise in the next decade. The question is, who provides the best overall value?

There is no question, Nike holds the edge in athletic shoes still. Under Armour has not forcibly broken into this market, like they have others. So if you are looking for high quality sneakers, stick with Nike. Nike t shirts for men dominated the tee shirt market in the 1990′s, but more and more the emblematic logo of Under Armour is popping up everywhere. Both shirts are high quality, but Under Armour is the originator of the tees that don’t weigh you down when you sweat.
